Symphonic Sketches is a concert full of musical “pictures,” with each piece telling its own story and capturing a different feeling or moment. You’ll hear the lively, joyful energy of Johannes Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, the warm and nostalgic feel of Godfrey Ridout’s Fall Fair, and the bold, uplifting sounds of Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1, along with the powerful and familiar Jerusalem by Charles Hubert Hastings Parry. The concert wraps up with the rich, dramatic music of Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7. It’s a program that’s easy to enjoy, whether you’re hearing this music for the first time or coming back to favourites you already love.

Sleigh Ride is a festive and heartwarming holiday concert that blends classical favourites with seasonal charm. You’ll enjoy the playful energy of Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, alongside selections from Handel’s Messiah, operatic highlights, and O Holy Night.
A special highlight is the visit of award-winning soprano Gabrielle Turgeon, a former Sault Ste. Marie resident now living abroad, whose homecoming visit will be a memorable treat for audiences. The program also includes magical excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, offering a preview of our planned full Nutcracker collaboration with Ballet Jörgen in December 2028.

Vienna, City of My Dreams invites you on a musical journey to one of the world’s great centres of classical music, known for its rich history and legendary concert halls. This programme features the music of famous Viennese composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Schubert. The concert also includes the lush Serenade for Strings by Edward Elgar and the vivid, storytelling music of Jean Sibelius’ Belshazzar’s Feast. The beloved title song by Rudolf Sieczyński will also be featured, capturing the charm of Vienna. This engaging concert highlights the elegance, drama, and warmth that define Vienna’s musical legacy.

Music of the 80s takes you on a fun and engaging musical “time machine,” exploring music written in the “80s” of four different centuries—1680, 1780, 1880, and 1980. You’ll hear the bright, ceremonial sounds of Henry Purcell’s Trumpet Tune and Jeremiah Clarke’s Prince of Denmark’s March, followed by the playful charm of Joseph Haydn’s Surprise Symphony. The programme then builds to the powerful drama of Peter Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, before ending with memorable selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Spanning Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and modern musical theatre, this concert shows how music has evolved over time while still connecting with audiences in exciting and familiar ways.
